Carnataka Sangeetha Sabha was launched on the 14th April'06 with Sri R Ramachandran - Secretary, Hamsadhwani, Sri T R Balakrishnan - Inventor Ballaveenai and Sri M A Subramaniam - an ardent Carnatic rasika as chief guests and in the presence of many vidwans and rasikas at Sri Thiagaraja Vidwath Samajam, Mylapore, Chennai.

started with the prayer song on Goddess Saraswathi and this was followed the welcome address by Sri K A Pyarilal founder of Carnataka Sangeetha Sabha and detailed the concept and the objectives of CS Sabha. He insisted the point that while it was the keen interest in Carnatic music which dragged him to this field with a website under the title www.carnaticsangeetham.com , now it is the passion which has initiated him to launch CS Sabha.

The aim of the sabha is to reach this ancient and divine art to nook and corner of the world through the internet. CS Sabha would give the performer an unique opportunity to have their audio / video sample in the sabha's website http://www.cssabha.org/ which could be accessed by any one anywhere and this will be a great advantage for the artists.

Sri R Ramachandran - Secy, Hamsadhwani welcomed the birth of a new sabha and narrated the role of a sabha in this field. He shared the information of having over 2000 members and also explained the operational difficulties of running an organization. He praised Sri Pyarilal for his strong will power and the confidence in using the technological advancements to propagate and reach this divine art as desired by Sri Pyarilal.



Sri T R Balakrishnan - Inventor Balaveenai blessed Sri Pyrilal and appreciated him for launching CS Sabha with a new vision. He insisted the role of a sabha being very important for an artist and particularly expressed the advantage of having their music as sample files in the website of CSSaba.org. He also presented "Dasa Gamaga Sodasa Ragamalika Maduga Bragadvani Dhanam" on the Balaveena for over 30 mts and impressed the audience.


Sri M A Subramaniman - an ardent Carnatic Rasika with the habit of noting down the song list of many artists by attending their concerts. He shared his wonderful experiences as a rasika and also highlighted the fact that the launch of more and more sabhas would make the artists to keep rendering newer songs.

Sri Pyarilal expressed his willingness to extend maximum support to the artist fertenity in terms of promotions and also informed that the initial plan for Carnataka Sangeetha Sabha is to hold at least two concerts a month. The next concert date was announced as Sunday, 14th May'06 and the venue would be Bharthiya Vidya Bhavan Mini Hall, Mylapore, Chennai.

a vocal concert by K Dharini who had been selected as the "Best of Best 2005 by carnaticsangeetham.com was rendered with Akkarai Swarnalatha on violin and S R Ethirajan on Mrudhangam as the enhancement artist.
